DAY 1: KILIMANJARO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT-ARUSHA
Welcome to Tanzania – The Journey Begins
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your Tanzanian adventure begins. After completing immigration, a Kojuu Safaris representative will warmly welcome you, assist with luggage, and escort you to your private transfer vehicle, stocked with refreshing drinks for a comfortable ride. The scenic 55 km drive to Arusha (about 1 hour) offers your first glimpse of Tanzania’s beauty. At your hotel, you’ll be greeted by the management and staff, ready to make you feel at home. Enjoy a delicious dinner, relax, and immerse yourself in the serene atmosphere as the spirit of Africa embraces you. With its breathtaking landscapes, abundant wildlife, and rich culture, Tanzania promises a journey filled with adventure, discovery, and unforgettable memories. DAY 2: ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK.
After breakfast, you will drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park (120 km/2 hours) for a full day of game viewing. Tarangire, often considered underrated, offers rich wildlife experiences across its vast savannahs. At 1:30 pm, your guide will serve lunch at a picnic site before continuing with afternoon and evening game drives. The Tarangire River, a vital lifeline during the dry season, attracts giraffes, zebras, antelopes, buffaloes, and large herds of elephants—the largest population in Northern Tanzania. Predators such as lions are also frequently seen, drawn by the abundance of prey. Elephants, often unbothered by vehicles, may approach quite closely, adding to the unique experience. As the day winds down, you will head to your lodge for dinner, relaxation, and overnight stay, carrying with you the beauty and excitement of Tarangire unforgettable wildlife encounters.
DAY 3: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, you will depart for Serengeti National Park on a game drive and enjoy lunch at a suitable place inside the park. We will continue the game drive activity in the afternoon before reaching the lodge. You spend the following day inside the park on game drives.
Serengeti National Park is well-known for its great migrating herds of zebra, antelope, and wildebeest. However, be ready to see resident predators such as leopards, cheetahs, and lions fulfilling their role in the circle of life.
DAY 4: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK.
DAY 5:NGORONGORO CRATER-ARUSHA.
After breakfast, you depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a game drive inside Ngorongoro Crater while carrying lunch boxes. Once you finish the game drive, you are transported to your accommodation for the relaxation, night and dinner.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is the area that constitutes the largest uninterrupted caldera in the world and one of the natural wonders of Africa. About 30 000 large mammals are resident all year round (such as buffaloes, lions, elephants, cheetahs, and rhinos), and a wide variety of birds (such as flamingos, eagles, and buzzards). So be ready to see many animals here within a short time.
DAY 6:MATERUNI WATERFALL-ARUSHA.
Your guide will pick you up in the morning and take you on a journey to Materuni Village. Along the way, they’ll share intriguing insights into the vibrant culture of the Chagga community and the surrounding wildlife and plants.
Prepare to be awestruck when you arrive at the stunning 80-meter-high waterfall, where you can take a refreshing swim in a beautiful pool. After enjoying this natural paradise, you’ll leisurely return to Materuni Village to savor a traditional Chagga lunch. Be sure to try our local banana beer, Mbege, for a unique and authentic taste.
But the adventure continues! Next up is the captivating coffee experience. You’ll discover the art of coffee cultivation, drying, roasting, and other processes. Join in the coffee grinding process, accompanied by lively Chagga songs and dances, making it a truly enjoyable way to immerse yourself in the local culture.
