7 DAY NDUTU MIGRATION MIDRANGE.

Your safari begins with a pick-up from Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to Arusha. From there, head to Tarangire National Park for game viewing before overnighting in Karatu. Continue to the Serengeti for one night to experience its vast plains and wildlife. Next, travel to Ndutu for two nights of thrilling game drives during the calving season. Then descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day safari, return to Karatu, and finish with Lake Manyara en route to Kilimanjaro Airport.

Day 1: Kilimanjaro International Airport- Arusha.

DAY 1: KILIMANJARO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT-ARUSHA.

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, check in then go through the security check point and officials at the counter will check the required documents to verify your identity. You will go to the exit door where you will find a Epic Escapes safaris driver guide with a signboard written your name on it. He will greet you and take your luggage to our transfer vehicle and transferred you to Arusha city. On arrival at the hotel our driver guide will assist you with check in process then the hotel porter will take your luggage to your room. You will freshen up after a long flight and later on you will go down the restaurant for dinner and after dinner you can choose to relax at the facilities area take photos and later on go to your room.

DAY 2: ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, depart Arusha for a scenic 2-hour drive (120km) to Tarangire National Park for a full day of game viewing. Known as one of Tanzania’s most fascinating parks, Tarangire is home to vast savannahs, the life-giving Tarangire River, and an impressive variety of wildlife. You’ll encounter giraffes, zebras, antelopes, buffaloes, and large prides of lions drawn by the abundance of prey. Tarangire is especially famous for its elephants—the park hosts the largest population in Northern Tanzania, particularly during the dry season when herds gather at the river. These gentle giants often approach vehicles, offering unforgettable close encounters. At 1:30pm, enjoy a picnic lunch in the park, then continue your afternoon and evening game drives, observing both large and small creatures in their natural habitat. Later, head to your lodge for dinner, relaxation, and an overnight stay, reflecting on the day’s incredible wildlife experiences.

DAY 3:KARATU DRIVE- CENTRAL SERENGETI 

After breakfast, set out for a full day of game viewing in the Central Serengeti, one of the park’s richest wildlife areas. The 2-hour drive from Ndutu takes you to the vast plains and diverse habitats where incredible wildlife awaits. In the afternoon, your guide will serve lunch at a picnic site or scenic bush spot before continuing with game drives. The Seronera region, the heart of the park, offers year-round sightings of lions, elephants, leopards, and more. Its riverine woodlands and open grasslands attract both predators and prey, with the Seronera River serving as a lifeline for countless animals. Expect thrilling encounters and unforgettable moments as you explore game loops that showcase the Serengeti’s timeless beauty and abundant wildlife. By evening, you’ll return to your lodge for dinner, relaxation, and overnight stay, reflecting on an incredible day in one of Africa’s greatest safari destinations.

DAY 4:CENTRAL  SERENGETI-DRIVE TO NDUTU.

After breakfast, depart Karatu for a 2.5-hour drive (110 km) to Ndutu, part of the Greater Serengeti ecosystem, for a full day of game viewing. Arrive around midday and enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot before continuing your safari. At 1:30pm, set out on afternoon and evening game drives, exploring the vast plains and seasonal waterholes that make Ndutu so special. This region is especially famous during the calving season, when thousands of wildebeest give birth, attracting predators in thrilling numbers. Expect to encounter a wide variety of wildlife, from zebras and gazelles to cheetahs, lions, and even elusive leopards. Your guide will lead you through different habitats to maximize your sightings and share fascinating insights into the ecosystem. By late evening, depending on your location in the park, it will take 30–40 minutes to reach your lodge for dinner, relaxation, and an overnight stay, ending a memorable day in Ndutu.

The Great Migration is the mass movement of wildebeests, zebras, and other animals crossing the Mara River to the Masai Mara in Kenya. The river is full of crocodiles. The best time to visit to witness this event is from July to early October every year.

DAY 5: FULL GAME DRIVE NDUTU.

Wake up to the magic of the Ndutu region, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African wilderness. After breakfast, set out on a full morning game drive across the open plains and seasonal lakes, where wildebeest, zebras, and predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas thrive. By midday, return to your lodge for a hot lunch and some relaxation—take a swim, read a book, or enjoy a refreshing siesta as the wildlife rests in the heat of the day. Later in the afternoon, embark on an evening game drive when animals become more active in the cooler hours, offering chances to witness exciting predator-prey interactions and diverse wildlife across habitats from woodlands to marshlands. Around 6:00 PM, return to your lodge to unwind, enjoy dinner, and settle in for the night, reflecting on another unforgettable day in Ndutu, one of the most vibrant parts of the Serengeti ecosystem.

DAY 6: DRIVE TO NGORONGORO AREA FOR DRIVE THEN DRIVE TO KARATU FOR OVERNIGHT.

After breakfast in Ndutu, set out for a scenic drive of about 80 km (2.5–3 hours) to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On arrival, descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. The crater, often called “Africa’s Eden,” is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, lions, hyenas, and the rare black rhino. Your guide will find the best spots to maximize sightings and provide fascinating insights into this unique ecosystem. Around midday, enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated site inside the crater, surrounded by breathtaking views. After lunch, continue exploring for a few more hours, spotting predators and grazing herds as they interact in this natural wonder. In the late afternoon, ascend the crater rim and continue to Karatu (about 1 hour’s drive) for dinner, relaxation, and overnight, reflecting on an unforgettable day in one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife havens.

DAY 7: DIRVE TO LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK THEN DRIVE TO KILIMANJARO AIRPORT FOR DEPARTURE.

After breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your hotel in Karatu and driven to Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic treasure at the base of the Rift Valley escarpment. Known for its lush forests, soda lake filled with flamingos, and rich wildlife—including elephants, giraffes, buffalo, hippos, and the famous tree-climbing lions—Manyara offers diverse habitats to explore. Your morning game drive will take you through woodlands, open plains, and along the lakeshore, perfect for birdwatching and photography. By early afternoon, you’ll depart the park and begin the journey to Kilimanjaro International Airport, passing through picturesque landscapes. On arrival, your guide will bid you farewell and wish you a safe journey home.
